This month, our guides have encountered some extraordinary scenes on their game drives and left us with exciting accounts of the events they saw unfold.  The western pride of subadult lions embarked on a treacherous journey to reunite with their separated mothers. Nine lions in total braved one of the channels, always on the lookout for the ever present crocodiles. Fuelled by their instinctual longing for family, these young lions pressed onward despite the deadly threat.

We now have two lionesses that have now made the land where Xigera Safari Lodge is located their territory. Among the residents of Xigera, these lionesses have been labelled as the 'climbing lions' due to their fondness for lounging on the lower branches of the trees.

As we embark on the final two months of the year, we eagerly anticipate the remarkable scenes that await us as we share the land at Xigera with its incredible wildlife.
