On arriving in Botswana, you must present proof of a negative Covid-19 test performed no more than 72 hours prior to your departure. Once a negative result is received, you may proceed through immigration.
During your stay at Xigera Safari Lodge, you can be tested for Covid-19 in the camp from Monday - Friday, 24 hours before your departure from Maun with results provided the next day between 10.30am and 12pm. The cost of the test is P990 per person (approximately $90), plus the cost of the flight for the nurse to come to the camp to do the testing.
In the event that the test is positive, a re-test will be done to establish if the first test was a false positive. If the second test is negative, you may proceed to travel. In the event that the second test is also positive, you will be required to re-test again and contact tracing will be carried out for all guests and staff at Xigera Safari Lodge.
