An incredible natural phenomenon that turns this part of Botswana into a swamp inland delta. All the water that flows into the delta is ultimately evaporated and does not flow into any sea or ocean. Traditionally about 11 cubic kilometres of water spreads over the 6000 – 15,000km2 area. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Moremi Game Reserve, a National Park, is on the Eastern side of the Delta, the latter being named as one of the 7 Natural Wonders of the World.
